Tea workers as a group do a difficult job for little recognition.
Spare them a thought today, which in Sri Lanka and India is International Tea Day.

International Tea Day is celebrated in India, Sri Lanka and other tea
producing countries to raise awareness of the poor conditions that many
plantation workers, especially female workers, endure.
In a declining world economy we can at least drink an extra cup or two to ensure continued employment for them and favour companies that source their teas ethically.
