OK - so this is not tea related, but it's Elmira-related. Our little town of Elmira (population of about 11,000 I think) is in the list of 10 finalists for Hockeyville, hosted by Kraft foods and the CBC. The arena is old and deteriorating, but well-used. This area, Woolwich Township, could definitely use a new facility and fundraising to that end has been ongoing for about 2 years or so. The building has started as well. Winning the Hockeyville competition would allow a little break for taxpayers, as the prize is $100,000 donated for arena upgrades. The voting ends on January 19, 2009 at 7:30 a.m. ET.
