Combining the household interests, hubby came home with tea beer today.
Here he is kindly posing with his new find: Lemon Tea Beer brewed by Mill St. Brewery, a micro brewery based in Toronto.
That small glass is the one he poured for me - he knows me well!
The ingredients are pure enough:
water, malted wheat, malted barley, lemon puree, organic cane sugar, orange pekoe tea, earl grey tea, hops
The colour is light amber and looks lovely in the glass. The smell is like beer at first whiff, of course, but I do detect lemons, too. I'll be honest with you, I'm not sure I'm detecting any tea flavour here, but hubby thinks he is detecting a slight tea aroma. And perhaps as the beer warms slightly I do too.
Have you tried a tea beer, this one or others? What are your thoughts?
